Cleveland LMC
Welcome to the Cleveland Library Media Center (LMC)
The Library Media Center is a safe place for students learn and to develop an appreciation for reading as well as learning how to conduct research using print and electronic resources. Students from Kindergarten through Fourth Grade attend classes in the LMC once a week for 45 minutes. During that time they have a lesson based on the library curriculum adopted by Livonia Public Schools. Students also check out library materials at this time.
I am happy to help your children become strong readers and even stronger students. I earned my Bachelor of Arts and Sciences in Education Studies from The Catholic University of America in 1997, my Master of Science in Library Science from Drexel University in 1998, and my teaching certificate from University of Detroit Mercy in 2002. In 2003, I became an elementary librarian at Livonia Public Schools. Prior to working at LPS, I was a children's librarian and an assistant editor at a publishing company. Sharing literature and a love of research brought me to where I am today. As the librarian at an elementary school I have the special privilege of working with the students from Kindergarten through fourth grade. It is exciting to see the growth that happens in the five years of elementary school!
